For the month of January 2014, more than 253 other artists and I posted a painting a day for 30 days.

This is Day 18: On the 18th day of vacation, Gramma said, "Let's be silly today." Of course everybody liked that idea. "It can be chicken day!"

Mason knew how to exercise in a chickeny way and so did Adalynn. Gramma was not as good at that! They ran around playing chicken for a while, singing a "Buck, buck, buck" song and doing the chicken dance.

They had a contest to find the best chickens and looked around the house for anything that was the least bit like a chicken. The silly, jelly bean laying chicken won the prize, and Gramma did a painting of it for a laugh.

At lunch, Adalynn and Mason were not so sure they wanted bologna worms. Gramma cut the bologna slices into  long concentric circles. Peanut butter and jelly won out, and then they were happier to eat a few candy gummy worms for a treat.

What else can we do? Maybe just go outside and scratch in the dirt. We might find a treasure!

Do you think chicken legs would be good for supper?
